Double Chocolate Mug Cake

Yield:  1 mug cake


1/4 cup flour

1/4 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1/8 teaspoon baking soda

1/8 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons milk

2 tablespoons canola oil (I use olive oil. I like the flavor!)

1 tablespoon water

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 cup chocolate chips



  1. Mix flour sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt into a mug. Stir until combined.
  2. Add milk, oil, water, vanilla and chocolate chips and stir until combined.
  3. Microwave for 1 minute 45 seconds. (microwaves may vary, for a slightly more moist cake 1 minute 30 seconds)
  4. Carefully remove from microwave, mug may be hot and let cool 1-2 minutes.
  5. Enjoy every single bite!

No microwave?  Using an oven safe mug or glass dish, set oven to 350 degrees and bake 10-15 minutes. Ovens vary, so time will too.
