Honey Ginger Sesame Glazed Salmon

Yield:  4 Servings

Ingredients

2 lb. salmon fillet

½ cup honey

2 oranges – 1 for zest and juice and 1 for slicing

1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger

1 tablespoon fresh grated orange zest (1 orange)

2 cloves garlic grated

2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

salt and pepper

Method 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line large baking sheet with parchment.
  3. Rinse and pat dry the salmon fillet and place on top of parchment.
  4. Liberally salt and pepper entire fillet.
  5. Combine honey, grated ginger, grated garlic, orange zest, orange juice and sesame seeds in a small bowl and whisk.
  6. Pour mixture over salmon fillet.
  7. Place slices of one orange around fillet.
  8. Bake for 25-35 minutes or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  9. If you want a bit more caramelization, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
