This came from a friend in Canada. Not that the recipe has a particular Canadian style. Maybe it does. Anyone know?  Send me a message.

Ingredients

½ cup Oil
2 Eggs
2/3 cup White Sugar
2/3 cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
3 cups Oats
½ teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 cup Milk

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13 pan.
  2. In a medium bowl mix together oil, eggs, sugars and vanilla.
  3. Add in the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Pour into prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until still light and fluffy, but not dark brown.

*Optional ingredients to add:  Flax meal, dried fruit, protein powder, hemp seeds, chocolate chips, etc.

Enjoy eh!

  1. For oil—just regular vegetable oil? How about almond milk—an OK substitution? This sounds amazing…

    1. Vegetable oil is just fine. Canola, avocado, etc. Just not olive as it is a bit too strong in flavor and takes over. Almond milk, oat milk whatever plant or nut based beverage you want to use is a great substitute! Let me know how the family liked it! Thanks for reading Kris!
