{"id":913,"date":"2019-10-11T18:24:38","date_gmt":"2019-10-11T23:24:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/?p=913"},"modified":"2019-10-11T18:24:38","modified_gmt":"2019-10-11T23:24:38","slug":"aloo-chat-samosa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/index.php\/2019\/10\/11\/aloo-chat-samosa\/","title":{"rendered":"Aloo Chat Samosa"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Aloo Chat Samosa<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Yield:\u00a0 <\/strong>15 Samosas<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients <\/strong><br \/>\n1 package puff pastry, thawed for 30 minutes<br \/>\n3 large yellow Potato, peeled and cubed<br \/>\n1 large yellow Onion, finely chopped<br \/>\n2 cloves Garlic, chopped<br \/>\n1 Green chile, chopped (serrano will do)<br \/>\n\u00bd tablespoon Ginger, grated<br \/>\n1 cup frozen green peas<br \/>\n3 tablespoons Cilantro, chopped<br \/>\n\u00bd teaspoon Chile powder<br \/>\n\u00bc teaspoon Turmeric powder<br \/>\nPepper to taste<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\n1 tablespoon Vegetable oil<br \/>\n1 Egg<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pre-Heat oven to 400 degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Whisk egg in a bowl and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oil in a large pan over medium high heat.<\/li>\n<li>Add onion, garlic, chile and ginger and saute until onion becomes translucent.<\/li>\n<li>Add potatoes, peas, cilantro, chile powder, turmeric, salt and pepper until potatoes are al dente.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out puff pastry into a square. (12&#215;12)<\/li>\n<li>Cut into 9 squares of 4&#215;4 and brush edges with egg wash.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Place a tablespoon of mixture at\u00a0the center of each square and fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle.<\/li>\n<li>Using a fork, crimp to seal the edges.
