{"id":774,"date":"2019-06-11T12:36:15","date_gmt":"2019-06-11T17:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/?p=774"},"modified":"2019-06-11T12:36:34","modified_gmt":"2019-06-11T17:36:34","slug":"angel-food-candy-aka-sponge-food-candy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/index.php\/2019\/06\/11\/angel-food-candy-aka-sponge-food-candy\/","title":{"rendered":"Angel Food Candy aka Sponge Food Candy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"recipe-print__h2\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Angel Food Candy aka Sponge Candy<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"recipe-print__h2\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>\n1 cup white sugar<br \/>\n1 cup dark corn syrup<br \/>\n1 tablespoon vinegar<br \/>\n1 tablespoon baking soda<br \/>\n1 pound chocolate confectioners&#8217; coating<\/p>\n<p class=\"recipe-print__h2\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-print__directions\">\n<li class=\"item\">Butter a 9&#215;13 inch baking dish.<\/li>\n<li class=\"item\">In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup and vinegar.<\/li>\n<li class=\"item\">Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Heat, without stirring, to 300 to 310 degrees F or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms hard, brittle threads.<\/li>\n<li class=\"item\">Remove from heat and stir in baking soda.<\/li>\n<li class=\"item\">Pour into prepared baking dish; do not spread. (Mixture will not fill pan.)
