{"id":196,"date":"2014-06-03T20:51:22","date_gmt":"2014-06-04T01:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/?p=196"},"modified":"2018-08-19T20:54:50","modified_gmt":"2018-08-20T01:54:50","slug":"smoked-trout-hash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/index.php\/2014\/06\/03\/smoked-trout-hash\/","title":{"rendered":"Smoked Trout Hash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yield: 4 Servings<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 2-3 sweet potato, peeled, diced cut into 1\/2&#8243; cubes<br \/>\n\u2022 1 tablespoon olive oil<br \/>\n\u2022 1 tablespoon large shallot, peeled and diced<br \/>\n\u2022 2 cloves garlic, diced<br \/>\n\u2022 1 can trout in oil (Trader Joe\u2019s, smoked trout in oil)<br \/>\n\u2022 2 teaspoons Kosher salt<br \/>\n\u2022 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper<br \/>\n\u2022 2 tablespoons capers<br \/>\n\u2022 2 green onion, diced, green only<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><br \/>\n1. In a saut\u00e9 pan over medium heat add 1\/2 T of oil and the sweet potato, saut\u00e9 until sweet potato is tender 6-8 minutes<br \/>\n2. Add shallot and garlic and continue to saut\u00e9 for another 3 minutes<br \/>\n3. Add trout and oil from trout into the saut\u00e9 pan and stir<br \/>\n4. Let sit for about 4 minutes until it begins to brown and becomes crisp and then flip<br \/>\n5. Let this side sit for an additional 4 minutes until brown and crisp, then add salt, fresh ground pepper and capers and stir<br \/>\n6. Let both sides crisp up once more only about 2 minutes per side and then add in green onion and serve<br \/>\n7.
