{"id":1535,"date":"2020-06-11T18:44:52","date_gmt":"2020-06-11T23:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/?p=1535"},"modified":"2020-07-20T21:34:50","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T02:34:50","slug":"masala-chai-latte-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/index.php\/2020\/06\/11\/masala-chai-latte-cookies\/","title":{"rendered":"Masala Chai Latte Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Masala Chai Latte Cookies<\/h2><p><strong>Yield:<\/strong> 18; using a 1\/8 cup measure for each drop cookie<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h4><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>3 cups flour; spoon &amp; leveled<\/li>\r\n<li>2 teaspoons cream of tartar<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/3 cup <strong><em>Tijerina Vanilla Masala Chai Blend<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li>1 teaspoon baking soda<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon salt<\/li>\r\n<li>1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) room temperature <em>(do not melt)<\/em><\/li>\r\n<li>1 cup granulated sugar<\/li>\r\n<li>1 large egg, room temperature<\/li>\r\n<li>1 egg white, room temperature<\/li>\r\n<li>1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/li>\r\n<\/ul><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Method<\/strong><\/h4><ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\r\n<li>Preheat oven to 325 degrees.<\/li>\r\n<li>Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.<\/li>\r\n<li>In a medium bowl sift together the flour, cream of tartar, <strong><em>Tijerina Vanilla Masala Chai<\/em><\/strong>, baking soda and salt.<\/li>\r\n<li>In a stand mixer beat the butter and sugar together on high until smooth, creamy, and light in color. About 4 minutes.<\/li>\r\n<li>Add the egg and vanilla and beat on medium speed until combined. About 30 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.<\/li>\r\n<li>Add the egg white and beat on high for 1 minute until light and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.<\/li>\r\n<li>Turn the mixer on low speed and add the dry ingredients 1 cup at a time to the wet ingredients, scraping down the sides each time until it is all combined.<\/li>\r\n<li>Scoop out dough with a 1\/8 cup measure and roll into balls.<\/li>\r\n<li>Bake cookies for 18-19 minutes. Cookies will be puffy and very soft and light. They will seem under cooked, but don&#8217;t over cook them or they will be hard.<\/li>\r\n<li>You may transfer to a wire rack, but I tend to leave them on the pan to crisp up slightly on the bottom.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol><p>Store cooled cookies in an airtight container.
