{"id":1180,"date":"2020-03-31T14:01:44","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T19:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/?p=1180"},"modified":"2020-04-07T20:20:33","modified_gmt":"2020-04-08T01:20:33","slug":"no-bake-chocolate-peanut-butter-bars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/index.php\/2020\/03\/31\/no-bake-chocolate-peanut-butter-bars\/","title":{"rendered":"No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Yield:<\/strong>\u00a016 Bars<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 cup brown sugar <em>(sub 1 cups white sugar + 1 tablespoons molasses)<\/em><br \/>\n1 \u00be cups powdered sugar<br \/>\n1 cup butter (8 tablespoons), room temperature<br \/>\n1 \u00bd cups peanut butter<br \/>\n1 cup milk chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips or white if you desire<\/p>\n<h4>Method<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Grease an 8&#215;8 pan with butter or line with parchment.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, cream brown sugar, powdered sugar, 5 tablespoons butter and peanut butter until well mixed.<\/li>\n<li>Press into the prepared pan.<\/li>\n<li>In a small, microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate chips and remaining 2 tablespoons butter for 1 minute in 30 second intervals, stirring after each so you don\u2019t burn the chocolate. (2 times)<\/li>\n<li>Stir carefully and continue to microwave in 30 second intervals until smooth, stirring after each.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter crust and spread evenly.<\/li>\n<li>Chill until firm, at least 3 hours or overnight.<\/li>\n<li>Let stand 10 minutes at room temperature before serving.
