{"id":1052,"date":"2020-02-04T12:24:24","date_gmt":"2020-02-04T18:24:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/?p=1052"},"modified":"2020-02-04T12:24:24","modified_gmt":"2020-02-04T18:24:24","slug":"so-simple-hummus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessicatijerina.com\/index.php\/2020\/02\/04\/so-simple-hummus\/","title":{"rendered":"So Simple Hummus"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Simply Fresh Hummus<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Yield: <\/strong>4 Servings<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<p>250 Grams Garbanzo Beans, drained and rinsed + reserved juice<\/p>\n<p>1 oz EVOO<\/p>\n<p>2 oz Fresh squeezed lemon juice (not optional)<\/p>\n<p>2 oz Tahini<\/p>\n<p>10 grams Garlic<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd teaspoon ground Cumin<\/p>\n<p>1.5 oz reserved garbanzo liquid (3-4 Tablespoons)<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon Kosher salt<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a bowl of a large food processor combine tahini and lemon juice and process for 1 minute. With a spatula, scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl and process for another 30 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Add oil, garlic, cumin and salt to the whipped tahini and lemon. Process for 30 seconds or until well blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add half the chickpeas to the food processor and process for 2 minutes. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl, then add remaining chickpeas and process until thick and smooth. 3-4 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>With the food processor on, slowly add reserved garbanzo liquid until you reach your desired consistency.
